Summer MAC Blush Swatches

Oh my God. I've been gone for literally a million years. Hi everyone haha! And sorry! I've been very busy, and most of my free time was only available for making some YouTube videos, so this blog was totally neglected.

Now that I am back, I think a great way to kick start my summer blog posts is to post some swatches of some useful things. Now I am a blush hoarder (no secret), so some blushes from MAC should do the trick. These blushes are my favourites from MAC, but they are also mostly summer favourites, since I love to wear more blush in the summer!

My favourite blushes from MAC are: Legendary, Hang Loose, Pinch o' Peach, Blushbaby, Melba, and Margin.

My Tips and Tricks on At-Home Hair Dye Experiences (with video Demo)

Hello my lovelies! I hope everyone had a fabulous Valentine's Day, and Happy Lunar New Year!

Today I will share my hair dye experiences. I have naturally very dark brown Asian hair to begin with, and have used box dyes to dye my hair for about 2 years now. After going after a variety of blonds in L'Oreal and Garnier to lighten my dark hair, I have finally settled for the Natural Copper Blonde B04 in the L'Oreal Excellence Creme range. This colour gives me a nice medium warm brown colour to my hair, and does significantly lighten my hair. In order for this to work, I usually need it on and wait for over an hour. Otherwise the colour will not show much at all. But when I do have the patience to leave it on for a long time, it gives me the colour I want.

Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette Review and Swatches

Hello my lovelies, happy Monday! Miserable, yes, I know. So here, I will make your Monday night better! (Hopefully..)

This is the brand spanking new Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette. I love Too Faced to start with, and a bigger palette from them is always nice. I skipped on the original Chocolate Bar Palette, as I am not really a purple person, and that palette features a nice bright purple colour. This time around, I just had to get the new one, as I am a fan of warm neutrals, and the colour blue is not my mortal enemy.

I feel like they are usually quite fair with the pricing on their items. Never too outrageous, at least for something that's from Sephora. It retails here in Canada for $59, I believe it is $54 in the US. This palette is quite great in several ways. First of all, the packaging is fab. It looks like a real bar of chocolate. Yum!!

Bronzer Obsession Series: Guerlain Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder Review, Comparison and Swatches

Hello lovelies, how are y'all doing? Recently I am very much into the brand, as I repeated myself over and over again. Everything from Guerlain is so luxurious, so beautiful, and works so so so well on me. Today, I just want to talk about some Guerlain bronzers for you!

I am always very obsessed with bronzers. I only have some staple ones to contour, such as Nars Laguna and Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil. Laguna for winter, and Milk Chocolate for summer. They are the bronzers I am currently hitting pan on. These do have a more brown and yellow undertone.

The rest of the bronzers I have are either orange or red. Those I use as a blush + bronzer hybrid. For convenience in the morning, and also just for the great pick-me-up effect they give my face.

Now these Guerlain Terracotta Light Bronzing Powders are the ones I will use to add colour to my face. Especially in winter. It makes you look healthy and glowy without having a vacation!

Sephora 20% off Haull + Video!!!

Hello everyone! I finally finished my Sephora 20% off haul. The store was crazy packed.

Recently, I am just very into creating flawless complexions. I am kind of over the whole lipgloss, eyeshadow phase for now. Like I said in my last post, recently I am also very into Guerlain. So I purchased two of their powders. One is the Guerlain Meteorites in 02 Clair, the other is the Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder. I have two of the bronzers, they are 02 Blondes and 04 Sun Blondes.

I have also purchased the Hourglass Ambient Powder in Diffused Light, and a Dior DiorShow Mono Fusion Eyeshadow in 661 Meteore.

If you don't want to read my insanely long blog, feel free to watch me be weird live.

First Aid Beauty Cheers to FAB Skin Unboxing and Mini Review!

First Aid Beauty is one of my favourite brands of skin care. I am mainly attracted to the simple ingredients, and it's one of the only products that can calm down the redness in my skin. When I saw this, I could not pass it up and wait until my VIB 20% off in Sephora. I just had to have it.

Mr. Alchemist, whatcha cooking?

I love glitter nail polishes. It is kind of like jewellery, or like making your nails become little pieces of jewellery. I especially love them during fall and winter, and of course, during the holidays.

Sephora's Formula X line has recently put out a new limited edition nail polish called Alchemy. I could neither resist the colour, nor the name. Fellow book-lovers, who doesn't want a bit of that action on your nails?

Here are quick swatches. Excuse the sloppy application on the cuticles. Now a days I am so busy, I have less damn to give.

Click me big to see the magic!

Empties!

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

As a beauty obsessed gal, I think we all feel a rather exaggerated sense of accomplishment when we finish beauty products. I feel that the most, when I finish lip glosses, eyeshadows and blushes. It is literally Mission Impossible. Y'all know what I mean.

I have not finished any lip glosses, eyeshadows, nor blushes this month. (Argh..) However! I did finish somethings! And I am going to do a mini review for everyone!

Yes, I chose a ferocious (cat) red "Keep Calm" background today. Because it's not tacky at all.

Smelling Pretty for Summer - Balenciaga Florabotanica & Elizabeth and James Nirvana White

Over the years, I have bought way too many big bottles of perfumes. For one thing, they are cheap compared to their smaller brothers and sisters. Over the years, I have also learnt that I can never finish a single perfume in my lifetime. Because no matter how much I love them at first whiff, I always end up hating them when I get to about the half point.

This summer, I have fought with my inner money-per-unit-saving demons, and bought two roller-ball perfumes. So far, I can safely say I will finish them, and will utilize my cash to the fullest!

Sephora's Current 500 Point Perk - NARS Cult Favorites

I have saved my Sephora points for a very long time. Sometimes I will redeem one or two 100 point perks, but I don't think I have ever redeemed for a 500 point perk. Most of those 500 point perks look pretty stingy and cheap from a company like Sephora, considering that people like us spend hundreds of dollars in their store every year. And really, this is kind of like a gift-with-purchase when you accumulatively spend 500 bucks.

Anyways, other than the full size Benefit Coralista from several years ago, this is the first one that I think is worth getting. This is just out today (by today I really mean yesterday, as it is like..3:00 am right now), and I had to go in to get them. I know they are all minis, but the blush itself contains 4g of product, while a full-sized Nars blush contains about 4.5g of product, so this mini is kind of full size in a mini container. The lip crayon and the eyeliner each contain exactly half of the full sized products.

To be honest, when I opened these, their tininess did shock me a little. Especially the blush. It is literally a mini. But I digress, you can't judge things entirely on the size of their containers!

My $0.02 on the Clarisonic Skin Cleansing System

A few years ago, when the Clarisonic first came out, I was horrified by the idea. The idea of using a giant electronic tooth brush on my face sounded terrible. Our teeth is the strongest bone in our entire body, but our skin is delicate. How can it withstand a giant electronic tooth brush? About two years after it came out, one Christmas I had the Sephora VIB 20% coupon. I saw the colourful Mia2's hanging around at the back of the store, and the pink one was so cute! I went over the stroked the brush, seems much softer than my tooth brush! Therefore I gave it a chance and brought it home.

Pink Lipstick Fest!

Many things have changed since my last post, one thing being my hair colour is now a medium brunette colour. I love it. With these changes come the need to change up my makeup routine and colour choices. For example, I used to always exclusively use warm toned colours on my lips, specifically all pinks need to be peachy. Everything needs to be warm and nude for me to feel comfortable. Now a days I am leaning more towards the cooler pink areas. Peaches and oranges still look insanely good with my colouring, but not so much peachy pinks. Peachy pinks look rather bleb on me. Cooler pinks look much much better on me now. Plus, I just chopped my hair from past my boobs to about shoulder length. You just can't beat brown messy bob-ish hair with loud pink lips on a summer day with them crazy shades and destroyed jean shorts. It is what I live for.

With that, I have to say the Hourglass Rouge Velvet lipstick in the colour Ballet is now my holy grail lipstick. It is very expensive, $35 here in Canada, and probably $30 in the US. The formula is insanely great. It reminds me of the old formula from Lancome, very creamy and hydrating with a slight sheen, can be worn comfortably for an extremely long time without shrinking my lips and wrinkling them. And with all that, it still manages to stay on forever. Here are some dupes and favourites from MAC that hopefully, for girls like me, who were looking for dupes and could never find one, would find these swatches helpful.

Bronzer Obsession Series: A Snow Bunny indeed...

Hi all, as we are stepping into winter, I'd like to share my new favourite bronzer with you. I am a bronzer fanatic... My all time favourite is the Too Faced Milk Chocolate, but here is another one from Too Faced that I absolutely love for winter. Honestly, I think I love all the bronzers from Too Faced. To me, it is one of my favourite brands, take away the kiddish packagings...

It is the Snow Bunny bronzer. With this, I can pretty much just brush it on and go. It is like a blush + bronzer for me. I am very fair (NC15), on darker skintones I'd say this is more like a highlighter.
